«Humanitats en acció» is the collective essay on the transformative potential of the humanities directed by Marina Garcés, published by Rayo Verde Editorial in paperback (240 pages, in Catalan).
The book brings together twenty voices of artists, academics, activists, journalists, filmmakers and scientists convened in the Aula Oberta cycle, directed by philosopher Marina Garcés with the Institut d'Humanitats de Barcelona. Against the idea of a humanities in extinction, the participants reflect on their lines of work, limits and challenges, and defend these disciplines as activities that give meaning to human experience from its dignity. The whole presents a generational and renewing bet on the discourse, practices and future of the humanities.
