«House of Meetings» is the literary novel by Martin Amis, published by Jonathan Cape in hardback (198 pages, in English).
In postwar Moscow, two brothers fall in love with a young Jewish woman. Arrested, they spend ten years in a forced-labour camp in the Arctic; there, a meeting at the House of Meetings fuels their rivalry and marks them forever. The narrator, the sole survivor, recalls that love triangle years later.
Published in 2006, this is the first edition. Its classification places it within contemporary and historical literary fiction.
For readers of literary and historical fiction, especially those seeking dramas set in the postwar Soviet Union.
