«Hotel Babylon» is the novel by Imogen Edwards-Jones and Anonymus, published by A.W. Bruna LeV. in paperback (279 pages, in Dutch).
Over twenty-four hours, a receptionist observes the hidden side of a five-star London hotel: rich and famous guests, absurd demands, curious thefts, scandals, and staff with flexible morals. Based on anecdotes presented as real, the narrative combines humour and rawness.
First instalment of the Babylon Confessions series, originally published in 2004; this Dutch edition is from 2005.
For those who enjoy non-fiction, irreverent humour, and stories about celebrities and luxury hotels.
Anonymus Bele regis notarius or Master P. was the notary and chronicler of a Hungarian king, probably Béla III. Little is known about him, but his latinized name began with P, as he referred to himself as "P. dictus magister".
