«Historias de Ana» is the children's book by Cornelia Funke, published by Siruela in hardback (132 pages, in Spanish).
Ana celebrates every day like a little party, but none is as special as her birthday, when she throws an outdoor celebration with María, her best friend: music, paper garlands and a chocolate cake. In summer, the two friends spend time watching snails and beetles or organising picnics in the sandpit with their stuffed animals.
It is part of the Las Tres Edades collection (no. 195). It includes 60 illustrations by Funke herself and is translated from German by Rosa Pilar Blanco.
For children aged 8 to 10, especially those who enjoy everyday stories about friendship, games and nature.

Cornelia Maria Funke is a German author of children's fiction. Born in Dorsten, North Rhine-Westphalia, she began her career as a social worker before becoming a book illustrator. She began writing novels in the late 1980s and focused primarily on fantasy-oriented stories that depict the lives of children faced with adversity. Funke has since become Germany's "bestselling author for children". Her work has been translated into several languages and, as of 2012, Funke has sold over 20 million copies of her books worldwide.
