«Historias de amor y viagra» is the novel by Spanish writer Francisco Umbral, published by Planeta in hardback (248 pages, in Spanish).
A middle-aged journalist agrees to try Viagra to report on its effects. What starts as a feature becomes an addiction, and the journalist's sexual experiences with very particular women end up as material for a novel. Umbral blends the autobiographical with fiction and tackles sexuality, power and social criticism.
It belongs to the Autores Españoles e Iberoamericanos collection and was published in 1998. The cover includes the legend «El hallazgo sexual de la llave de fuego del poder».
