«Historia del valeroso caballero Don Rodrigo de Peñadura» is the novel by Luis Arias de León and Nicolás Miñambres Sánchez (Edilesa, paperback, 228 pages).
It recreates the adventures of Don Rodrigo de Peñadura, a knight immersed in a universe of honour and chivalry, from a perspective inspired by the «Quijote». The edition recovers a text of popular tradition and connects it with the folklore and ethnography of Castile and León, mixing chivalric fiction and regional heritage.
Published in 1988, it is part of the «Biblioteca leonesa de bolsillo» collection; the cover subtitle is «El Quijote leonés».
For readers of Spanish popular and regional literature, especially those interested in the Quixotic tradition.
