«Fundación» is the science fiction novel by Isaac Asimov, published by Plaza & Janés in paperback (253 pages, in Spanish).
In a distant future, the galaxy lives under a peaceful Empire ruled from Trantor. Hari Seldon predicts with psychohistory that this Empire will fall and that an era of barbarism will come. To reduce its effects, he establishes two Foundations; this novel tells the story of the first, tasked with preserving knowledge.
First installment of Asimov's «Foundation Trilogy», also called the «Trantor Cycle»; the series received the Hugo Award for Best All-Time Science Fiction Series.
Recommended for readers of classic science fiction and space opera interested in the origin of the «Foundation Saga».
