«Freiheit ohne Grenzen. Mit der Harley durch die USA.» is Gary Paulsen's travelogue, published by Piper in paperback (155 pages, in German).
At nearly sixty and with a heart condition, Gary Paulsen buys his first Harley-Davidson and crosses the United States from New Mexico to Alaska. Along the way he reviews his past: farms in Minnesota, septic tanks in Colorado, dog sleds in Alaska; he seeks to make sense of his life as he rides in silence through open landscapes.
Translation of the American original into German by Ulrike Wasel and Klaus Timmermann. Piper published this edition in 2001.
For readers of memoirs and road narratives, fans of Gary Paulsen, and those who enjoy motorcycle travel.
