«Fima» is the contemporary fiction novel by Amos Oz, published by Siruela in 2007 in paperback (352 pages, in Spanish).
Efraim Nomberg, whom everyone calls Fima, is fifty-four years old and lives in Jerusalem. After excelling in history and poetry, his life has become a succession of renunciations. Fima is contradictory: absent-minded but loved by his friends; he only gets excited about politics and criticises the Israeli government over the occupied territories.
It belongs to the Nuevos Tiempos collection (no. 110), in its third edition. Translated from the Hebrew by Raquel García Lozano.
For those interested in contemporary Hebrew narrative and character-driven novels with a political backdrop.

Amos Oz was an Israeli writer, novelist, journalist, and intellectual. He was also a professor of Hebrew literature at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. From 1967 onwards, Oz was a prominent advocate of a two-state solution to the Israeli–Palestinian conflict.
