Figuras y figuraciones es un diálogo profundo e intenso entre arte y poesía, una unión entre la palabra y la imagen que nace de la admiración del gran poeta mexicano Octavio Paz por la obra de Marie José Paz, con quien compartió los últimos treinta años de su vida. A cada uno de los collages de Marie José Paz está dedicado un poema que recrea su universo plástico. Los pequeños objetos de Marie José, de profunda y delicada esencia onírica, son las figuras que alimentan el sentimiento del poeta. Los poemas de Paz fueron escritos en 1994 y han permanecido inéditos hasta ahora.
