«Even Stevens F.C.» is Michael Rosen's children's football comic, published by Barn Owl Books in paperback (64 pages, in English).
Wayne Travis's team isn't the brightest on the pitch, but their motley multicultural lineup plays for the love of the sport and has a good time. When the draw places them in the first round of the FA Cup, the fun turns serious and the side will have to prove whether their cheerful style can take them far.
John Rogan provides the illustrations, Michael Rosen was Children's Laureate from 2007 to 2008, and the work was originally published in 2008.
Aimed at young readers aged 7 and up and at boys and girls who love football, with a humorous tone and brisk reading.
