«Este pueblo tiene "guasa"» is a one-act play by Concepción Moral Cuesta, published by CreateSpace in paperback (54 pages, in Spanish).
A play that portrays crisis-era Spain: unemployment, evictions, cuts to healthcare and education, and the role of the media are some of the issues that appear in the work. The cover, with WhatsApp and Android icons, reinforces the use of mobile messaging as a vehicle for that critical gaze.
Published in September 2013, the edition includes an introduction by Francisco Pérez Muñoz.
Intended for reading and performance, with simple vocabulary and open to improvisation; suitable for amateur theatre groups.
