«England's Dreaming: Sex Pistols y el Punk Rock» is the historical essay by Jon Savage, published by Reservoir Books in paperback (816 pages, in Spanish).
Jon Savage reconstructs the rise and fall of the Sex Pistols in 1970s England, when social disillusionment and the decline of the imperial dream fuelled the punk subculture. With anecdotes and interviews, he paints a portrait of underground London and explains how the band channelled a generation's rage.
Spanish-language edition published in May 2009; original work from 1991 from which the BBC2 programme 'Punk and The Pistols' (1995) and the documentary 'The Filth and the Fury' (2000) derive.
For readers interested in the history of punk, British culture of the 1970s and the Sex Pistols phenomenon.
