«Encuentro en Telgte» is the historical novel by Günter Grass, published by Alfaguara in paperback (177 pages, in Spanish).
The novel is set in 1647, in the aftermath of the Thirty Years' War, with a group of German writers meeting in Telgte to debate the future of their language and literature in a ruined and divided nation. Grass turns this meeting into a parable about the writer's role, with echoes of post-Second World War Germany.
