«En busca de Buda» is the biographical novel by Jean-Michel Thibaux, published by Círculo de Lectores in hardback (457 pages, in Spanish).
The book fictionalises the life of Helena Petrovna von Hahn, the Sedmichka, born in 1831 in a Russia ravaged by an epidemic. Her supernatural powers, seen by some as a gift and by others as a curse, drive her to leave her country in search of the meaning of life; in time she will be known as Helena Blavatsky, linked to occultism.
Translation by Julia Alquézar of the original Sous la griffe de Bouddha. Spanish edition published in 2009.
For readers of fictionalised biographies and for those interested in the figure of Helena Blavatsky and occultism.
