Em defenso del sexisme!

Synopsis of Em defenso del sexisme!

«Em defenso del sexisme!» is the illustrated guide against sexism by Emmanuelle Piquet (Editorial Juventud, paperback, 192 pages, in Catalan).

Fourteen testimonies from girls show how society conditions girls from childhood and how to respond to everyday sexism. The author proposes the 'arrow of resistance', which shifts the discomfort to the other side, to face comments about appearance, forced kisses, or forbidden activities.

Part of the Conocer y comprender collection. Illustrations by Lisa Mandel; translated from French by Enriqueta Gomà Pera.

Aimed at young people aged 12 and up, especially girls seeking tools to defend themselves against sexism.
