«Els templers catalans. De la rosa a la creu» is the historical essay by Josep Maria Sans i Travé, published by Pagès editors in hardback (500 pages, in Catalan).
A synthesis of the history of the Order of the Temple in Catalonia, from its arrival in the 12th century to its extinction in the early 14th century, with attention to the order's general context. Josep Maria Sans i Travé addresses the least publicised aspects of the Catalan Temple from a rigorous approach, avoiding mythification and offering an objective view of the medieval militia.
Fourth volume in the collection «Els ordes militars». Second edition, published in 1999. Includes 66 illustrations.
Work for those interested in the medieval history of Catalonia and military orders.
