«El último día de la creación» is the science fiction novel by Wolfgang Jeschke, published by Editorial Viamagna in hardback (288 pages, in Spanish).
In the novel, Steve Stanley, a military pilot, takes part in the secret Chronotron project, which sends people and material five million years into the past to alter history. Artefacts found in the Mediterranean look ancient but are modern remains, and the mission leads to temporal paradoxes and the clash between technology and the past.
«El último día de la creación», originally published in German as «Der letzte Tag der Schöpfung» in 1981, received the Kurd-Laßwitz Prize in 1982 for best novel in the German language.
Recommended for science fiction readers, especially those who enjoy time travel, alternate histories and secret projects.
