«El terror de Sexto B» is a children's short story collection by Yolanda Reyes, published by Alfaguara in paperback (80 pages, in Spanish).
It brings together stories set at school, narrated from the point of view of sixth-form pupils: they talk about exams, homework and bad marks, and portray school life without sugar-coating, with humour and a disquieting edge. The book suggests that adults have forgotten what it feels like to be on the other side of the desk.
Work originally published in 1995; this edition (10th) came out in 2002 within Alfaguara Infantil, with illustrations by Daniel Rabanal.
Recommended for readers from 10 years old, it brings school life closer with humour and a touch of mystery.
