The book tells the story of Porfirio Smerdou Fleissner, a Spanish diplomat who risked his life to save hundreds of people during the Spanish Civil War. Through testimonies and documents, it is revealed how Smerdou used his position to protect those persecuted on both sides, acting as a true "Schindler" in the Spanish context. This edition from RBA Coleccionables offers a deep look at a little-known episode in the history of Spain, highlighting courage and humanism in times of conflict.
