«El santo abandono» is the Christian spirituality essay by Dom Vital Lehodey, published by Rialp in paperback (560 pages, in Spanish).
It proposes trusting and loving surrender to God's will and examines it in four parts: nature, foundations, practice, and fruits. The proposal applies both to monastic life and to the ordinary Christian, for whom fulfilling daily duties is the first step toward contemplation.
Dom Vital Lehodey was a Cistercian abbot. The work belongs to the Patmos collection of Ediciones Rialp and was originally published in 1977.
For those seeking growth in Christian spirituality and trust in God's will; it applies both to consecrated life and to the lay Christian.
