«El Parvulito» is the reading primer by Antonio Álvarez, published by Edaf in hardback (128 pages, in Spanish).
This school manual opens the Álvarez encyclopedias method and serves as a bridge between literacy primers and the first-grade Enciclopedia Álvarez. With large, clear type, illustrations and calligraphy by Antonio Álvarez himself, it allows practice in drawing and writing and revision of basic knowledge before advancing to the next grade.
The work belongs to the Biblioteca del Recuerdo collection and is a facsimile reissue of the 1965 edition published by Miñón in Valladolid.
Aimed at early readers aged 7 to 9, it is also of interest to those studying the pedagogy and Spanish schools of the Franco era.
