In the 17th century, a procession of priests went to Las Hurdes every night to exorcise the area of the evil spirits and demonic specters that many witnesses claimed to have seen. At the same time, the French academy, under the orders of Louis XIV, assured in an official report that the earthly paradise could be found in those valleys. Since then, this region, between heaven and hell, was marginalized by the authorities, generating a black and supernatural legend. Iker Jiménez invites us to investigate the heart of Las Hurdes, exploring towns and places where the supernatural coexists with ancestral knowledge of its people, on a journey in search of mystery in a magical and extraordinary land.
