«El infierno digital» is the novel by Philip Kerr, a techno-thriller published by Editorial Anagrama in hardback (400 pages, in Spanish).
In Los Angeles, a building controlled by the supercomputer Abraham is inaugurated. When inexplicable deaths occur, the police waver between accidents, murders and a curse; the suspects are a student and a computer technician. Abraham, like HAL in «2001, una odisea en el espacio», does not obey orders.
It belongs to the collection «Panorama de narrativas» (no. 378), with translation by Benito Gómez Ibáñez; the original work «Gridiron» was published in 1995.
For readers of techno-thrillers, science fiction and stories about artificial intelligence.
Philip Ballantyne Kerr was a Scottish author, best known for his Bernie Gunther series of historical detective thrillers.
