«El imperio frente a la diversidad del mundo» is the political criticism essay by Sami Naïr, published by Debolsillo in paperback (288 pages, in Spanish).
In this essay, Sami Naïr analyses the global empire as a mercantile, oligopolistic and democratic world-system, based on the privatisation of social and private relations, turned into commodities. He examines the role of large multinationals, the most powerful states and international organisations, and offers a critical view of globalisation and its effects on the diversity of the world.
Originally published in French as L'empire face à la diversité (2003), this Spanish edition, translated by Sara Barceló Cordón and María Cordón Vergara, belongs to the Ensayo-act collection.
Recommended for readers interested in international relations, globalisation and critical analysis of contemporary economic power.

Sami Nair is an Algerian-born French political philosopher who coined the term "codevelopment".
