«El drac» is the children's play by Manel Cubedo Capella, published by Edicions Bromera in paperback (112 pages, in Catalan).
The story takes place in the Albufera when it was still a vast lake. A dragon appears there and terrorises the inhabitants: it accepts no pacts or truces and devours people. Salomó, the only one who could stand up to it, is unjustly imprisoned. The play presents this conflict with dialogues and situations typical of children's theatre.
Third title in the Micalet Teatre collection, with illustrations by Felip Baldó Pérez. First edition published in 1995.
For young readers and children's and youth theatre groups: a dragon story designed to be read and performed.
