«El color del sol» is the historical mystery novel by Andrea Camilleri, published by Salamandra in paperback (128 pages, in Spanish).
A work of fiction in which Andrea Camilleri becomes a character: during a trip to Syracuse, a mysterious message leads him to a secret meeting and to a Caravaggio manuscript hidden for four centuries. The painter's supposed diaries articulate a criminal plot that delves into the Baroque and the artist's chiaroscuro.
Work originally published as «Il colore del sole» (2007), with Spanish translation by María Antonia Menini, in the Salamandra Narrativa collection.
For readers of historical and mystery fiction, especially those interested in Caravaggio and Italian Baroque painting.
Andrea Calogero Camilleri was an Italian writer best known for his Salvo Montalbano crime novels.
