«El Club de los Faltos de Cariño» is the memoir and story collection by Manuel Leguineche, published by Seix Barral in hardback (384 pages, in Spanish).
Leguineche weaves together his own memories and stories, with travels, wars, friends, reading, politics and dreams as the connecting thread. At the core is a group close to the author: the wise Jesús Rodrigo, the cat Muki and the duck Toribio, members of the club that gives the book its title. A narrative mosaic evoking Mandela, Urtain or Einstein and the countryside of Brihuega.
Published on 16 January 2007 as the first edition; volume 1 of the Seix Barral collection Otros libros en existencias.
