«Egon Schiele» is Reinhard Steiner's art book about the Austrian painter, published by Taschen America Llc in paperback (96 pages, in Spanish).
The book reviews the life and work of Egon Schiele, one of the most influential figures of the Viennese art scene. After a brief period with his mentor Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele questioned the aesthetic of the beautiful surface of Viennese modernism and developed a raw, direct, and difficult-to-access painting.
The full title of the work is «Egon Schiele, 1890-1918: el alma de medianoche del artista». The work was published in 1992.
Intended for general readers with an interest in art and in the figure of Egon Schiele.
