Die Kentaurin

Synopsis of Die Kentaurin

«Die Kentaurin» is the novel by Wolfgang Schmidbauer, published by Rowohlt in hardback (335 pages, in German).

The novel tells the story of a woman who does not fit the conventional mould: the centauress of the title, half woman and half horse. Her journey articulates a tale of mythological resonances about a female figure who lives outside the roles the world offers her, a story of an unusual woman as its subtitle announces.

Full title: «Die Kentaurin. Die Geschichte einer ungewöhnlichen Frau». First edition, published in March 1996.
