«Dicen» is Susana Sánchez Arins's historical memory narrative, published by De Conatus in paperback (168 pages, in Spanish).
A hybrid work between poetry, essay and short narrative that reconstructs the intimate memory of a family marked by Francoist repression. In short sequences, it recovers voices silenced for generations and composes the story of the Spanish postwar period appealing to poetic justice: naming the repressors and restoring the place of the repressed.
Part of the «¿Qué nos contamos hoy?» collection from De Conatus. It received the 2019 Madrid Booksellers Association Prize for best fiction work.
For readers interested in historical memory and literary proposals that mix genres; suitable from age 14.
