«Diana, Cupido e il commendatore» is the children's and young adult novel by Bianca Pitzorno, published by Mondadori in paperback (312 pages, in Italian).
Eleven-year-old Diana has never met her paternal grandfather due to an old quarrel. When her stepfather disappears after squandering the family fortune, the family seeks refuge with the proud Commendatore, owner of five cinemas. Diana enjoys free movies but shies away from romantic stories; when love strikes her family, she ends up reconciling with Cupid.
It belongs to the Junior +10 collection and is the second instalment of the «Saga di Lossai», with illustrations by Quentin Blake.
For young readers aged eleven and up: a story about cinema and family, with a girl who faces an authoritarian grandfather.
Bianca Pitzorno is an Italian writer best known for her books for children and young adults. She is considered one of Italy's most important authors in that field.
