«Destroza este diario» is Keri Smith's interactive journal, published by Ediciones Paidós in paperback (224 pages, in Spanish).
It proposes turning an ordinary notebook into a personal work through simple actions: tearing and crumpling pages, staining them with coffee, sticking photographs, and drawing on them. Each page presents an instruction that invites you to dirty, fold, or tear the paper to lose the fear of the blank page and experience creation as a game.
It is part of the Libros Singulares collection. Translation by Remedios Diéguez Diéguez; the original title is Wreck This Journal.
For people who want to start in art without prior knowledge and for those who have always wanted to keep a journal without knowing where to begin.
Keri Smith is a Canadian author, illustrator and conceptual artist.
