«Descenso al infierno de Venus» is the young adult science fiction novel by Manuel Alfonseca, published by Ediciones Palabra in paperback (128 pages, in Spanish).
The first crewed flight to Venus is about to make history. Shortly before departure, a change imposed from higher authorities replaces a crew member, and the ship Enterprise becomes embroiled in a sabotage plot. The sinister Brotherhood of the Rose seems to be behind the conspiracy threatening the mission and the lives of its seven astronauts.
It is part of the «La Mochila de Astor» collection (black series, no. 6) and of the «Sistema Solar» series, of which it is the second instalment. It includes illustrations by Javier Pérez Palomo.
A novel suitable for young readers and for those who enjoy space adventures of mystery and suspense.
