«Derniers carnets» is the political chronicle by Franz-Olivier Giesbert, published by Flammarion in 2012 (208 pages, in French).
The author presents it as his last strictly political book: a chronicle of the 2012 campaign put together from his notebooks dating back to the eighties. Protagonists such as Hollande and Sarkozy file past, alongside Chirac or Mitterrand, and History becomes almost picaresque.
The subtitle is «Scènes de la vie politique en 2012 (et avant)».
For readers interested in contemporary French politics and the 2012 campaign.
Franz-Olivier Giesbert is an American-born French journalist, author, and television presenter.
