«Den sanna historien om Pinocchios näsa» is the crime novel by Leif G. W. Persson, published by Bonnier Pocket in paperback (630 pages, in Swedish).
Dark fable for adults that interweaves criminal investigation and historical background: what is narrated would not have happened without the intervention of Nicholas II, Winston Churchill, Vladimir Putin and Inspector Evert Bäckström of the Stockholm police. Four men from very different worlds, who never meet, are united by a web of events spanning more than a hundred years, with a crime at its core.
The work is the third instalment in the Inspector Evert Bäckström series. Originally published in 2013, this Swedish paperback edition from Bonnier Pocket appeared in August 2014.
For readers of Nordic noir and police thrillers, with plots that mix history, politics and crime.
Leif Gustav Willy Persson is a Swedish criminologist and novelist. Persson has four children, one of whom, Malin Persson Giolito, is also a crime writer.
