«Deeptech Nation» is the essay by Dominique Mégret, published by Editions Slatkine in paperback (304 pages, in French).
The essay analyses Switzerland's place in a tech sector dominated by major American and Asian powers and asks how to guarantee its technological sovereignty. Drawing on the business values that have underpinned the Swiss economy for two hundred years, Mégret proposes pooling resources around ten major innovation programmes, the so-called 'moonshots', so that the country can play a prominent role globally.
The book was published on 6 September 2021 and its subtitle is 'What Future for the Swiss Model?'. Dominique Mégret has headed Swisscom Ventures since its creation in 2007.
For readers interested in technology, economics and innovation and in Switzerland's role in the international tech landscape.
