«Dans le ventre du cheval de Troie» is the children's novel on Greek mythology by Hélène Montardre, published by Nathan in paperback (58 pages, in French).
After ten years of siege, the Greeks fail to take Troy. Odysseus devises a stratagem: build an enormous wooden horse and hide a group of warriors inside. When the Greek army pretends to leave, the Trojans hesitate over whether to bring the offering into their city, unaware that soldiers are waiting inside to attack by surprise.
It belongs to Nathan's 'Petites histoires de la mythologie' collection and is illustrated by Nicolas Duffaut.
Recommended for young readers aged 9 to 12 interested in Greek mythology and adaptations of the classics.
