«Cuentos de un bebedor de éter» is a short story collection by Jean Lorrain and Elena del Amo, published by Ediciones Forum in paperback (53 pages, in Spanish).
Stories set in Parisian Belle Époque where dandyism, parties and bohemia coexist with melancholy and ether addiction. The characters move among gloomy dreams, unsettling visions and an atmosphere bordering on the macabre, on a blurred frontier between wakefulness and hallucination.
This edition was published in 1984 in the Biblioteca del Terror collection by Ediciones Forum, as number 49.
For readers who enjoy short stories with a decadent atmosphere, dark aesthetics close to horror, and a melancholic look at the era.
Jean Lorrain, born Paul Alexandre Martin Duval, was a French poet and novelist of the Symbolist school.
