«Cuéntame un cuento» is the illustrated album by Lewis Trondheim and José Parrondo, published by EDB Infantil Álbum in hardback (32 pages, in Spanish).
A father tries to tell a story to his two children before bedtime, but the little ones keep interrupting him with jokes and questions that change the course of the tale. The colorful illustrations reflect how a child's imagination turns every twist of the story into wild and surprising scenes.
The album «Cuéntame un cuento» was published on 26 April 2006, measures 22 x 29 cm and has a translation by Enrique Sánchez Abulí.
It is a book to read with the family before bedtime, suitable for young children who enjoy illustrated stories.
Laurent Chabosy, better known as Lewis Trondheim, is a French cartoonist and one of the founders of the independent publisher L'Association. Both his silent comic La Mouche and Kaput & Zösky have been made into animated cartoons.
