«Cuando tuve una jirafa» is the children's story by Patricia Gayán, published by Algar in paperback (24 pages, in Spanish).
A little girl wanted to be tall like a giraffe to reach important things, but she wonders what those things are. From that doubt, the story invites reflection on what truly matters and on seeing the world from another height.
With illustrations by Robert García, it is the second volume in the La Jirafa (A buen ritmo) collection. Published in 2024.
Aimed at children aged 3 to 5, it works well as a read-aloud and for starting conversations about what is essential.
