«Copies conformes. Le clonage en question» is the essay by Axel Kahn and Fabrice Papillon, published by Pocket in paperback (291 pages, in French).
Starting from the genetic advances of the late 20th century, the essay analyses human cloning: what it is, what it implies and why it poses an ethical dilemma. The authors combine scientific rigour and philosophical reflection to show that the question is not only whether we can do it, but whether we should and with what limits.
The French edition was published on 18 February 1999; the book appears in the science and philosophy categories.
A title for readers of popular science and philosophy interested in the bioethical debate.
