«Conversaciones» is Miguel Sáenz's book of interviews, published by Editorial Funambulista in paperback (352 pages, in Spanish).
Miguel Sáenz, translator and member of the Spanish Royal Academy, reviews his career in these conversations: he recalls his Spanish versions of Kafka, Thomas Bernhard, Brecht or Joseph Roth, and of Faulkner, Rushdie or Henry Roth. The book offers a selection of his interviews: reflections, confidences and anecdotes with ironic humour and lucid scepticism.
The edition is by Alberto Rivas Yanes and the prologue, by Juan Cruz Ruiz.
For readers interested in literary translation and in the career of a reference in this craft in Spanish.
