«Contemporary Spanish Short Stories: Viajeros Perdidos» is the anthology of short stories edited by Jean Andrews and Montserrat Lunati in paperback, 160 pages.
Twelve stories by contemporary Spanish writers, including Javier Cercas and Paloma Díaz-Mas, exploring the motif of the lost traveller or one alienated from reality. The stories range from the exotic to the historical and the fantastic, with echoes of film noir; this sense of being lost functions as a metaphor for modern life and contemporary Spain.
Volume in the BCP Spanish Texts series, published by Bristol Classical Press in 1998. The texts, in Spanish, are accompanied by an introduction and notes in English.
Intended for university-level students of Spanish and for readers interested in contemporary Spanish short fiction.
