«Cómo proceder en urgencias oftálmicas» is a practical guide to ophthalmic emergencies by B. Algan, published by Laboratorios Cusí in paperback.
The book explains how to act in an ocular emergency: the person attending the patient must wash their hands and cover the eye with gauze, without removing the foreign body or pressing; if the object is large, it is recommended to immobilise it with a paper cone and go to emergency immediately. It also includes diagnostic and treatment guidelines.
Translation of the French work «Diagnostic urgent en ophtalmologie», with review of the Spanish edition by S. Bonafonte; published in 1987, with 113 pages and colour illustrations and photographs.
For health professionals and ophthalmology students who need a practical guide to ocular emergencies.
