«Clair de femme» is the novel by French writer Romain Gary, published by Folio in paperback (192 pages, in French).
A love song to the couple as the «third dimension» of man and woman. The union of Yannick and Michel is broken by an inescapable fate, but she asks him not to give up love and to seek another woman; thus Lydia appears and that homeland where the feminine and the masculine complement each other is rebuilt, beyond the ephemeral.
The work was originally published in 1977; this Folio edition, in French, dates from April 1982. It is a psychological and love novel.
A work for readers of French literature and twentieth-century classics about love and the couple.

Romain Gary, also known by the pen name Émile Ajar, was a Lithuanian-born French novelist, diplomat, film director, and military aviator. He is the only author to have won the Prix Goncourt twice. He is considered a major writer of French literature of the second half of the 20th century.
