«Ces hommes sont avant tout nos frères» is Danielle Mitterrand's account, published by Pocket in paperback (189 pages, in French).
Danielle Mitterrand recounts her journey to Chiapas and the night she waits for the Zapatistas in a jungle village. There she is received by Subcomandante Marcos. The encounter with those who have spent years fighting for oppressed indigenous peoples inspires her hope for a world of peace based on human values rather than the power of money.
The work was originally published in 1996; this Pocket edition appeared in March 1997. Cover subtitle: «À la rencontre du sous-commandant Marcos et des zapatistes».
For readers interested in Zapatism, human rights and testimonies of solidarity.
