Casini reviews forty years of Italian politics, from his arrival in Parliament and Tangentopoli to his presidency of the Chamber. He combines personal anecdotes (Bologna, family, Christian Democracy) with his relationship with prime ministers, and closes with the tribute in Montecitorio during Mattarella's re-election in 2022.
