Ian Lancaster Fleming was a British writer, best known for his postwar James Bond series of spy novels. Educated at Eton, Sandhurst, and, briefly, the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München and the University of Geneva, Fleming moved through several jobs before he started writing.
