«La casa del dolor» is a contemporary play by Víctor Sánchez Rodríguez, published by Generalitat de Catalunya in paperback (126 pages, in Spanish).
A family prepares dinner to celebrate Juli finishing the piano; he doesn't show up. The mother seeks comfort, the father traces Juli's haunts, and the sister shuts herself in with melodramas and benzodiazepines. Their paths cross in a dreamlike, humorous drift that reveals the ghosts of an apparently model family.
First edition published on 11 February 2022 in Barcelona. Includes a presentation by Albert Lladó.
